BIOGRAPHY
Chloe Harper would have never in a million years pictured herself as an actress. And yet, at age 26 that's what she has been doing for over ten years. A San Diego native born and raised, Chloe had always aspired to enter a normal profession like her parents (one a doctor, the other a school teacher), but later years would prove that was not meant to be. Even so, the sudden change in path for her was not all that bad. Had it not been for such things, she would have never met her best friends and the person who would soon become the love of her life.
Born to Ronald and Amelia Harper in October of 1983, Chloe is the second youngest of four children (three girls, one boy). She has always been close to her younger sister, but she likes to think that the entire family is on good terms. They have weekly dinners at her parents' home and stay in close touch through other means when possible. She sometimes hears from her friends that her family is way too close, and that something must be going on behind the scenes, which is not at all the case.
It was not until high school that Chloe was bitten by the acting bug. It was here that she, on a whim, auditioned for a school play and won the part. After that, she enrolled in all of the theatre classes and made sure she was a part of every production the school put on. By her junior year, she was almost always the lead female in the productions, but, by then, she found herself wanting to branch out to bigger things. She caught wind of a part on her favorite television show, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," as Buffy's kid sister. While she was confused as to how she would work into the plot, Chloe begged and begged her parents to allow her to audition for the part. She was thrilled to discover that she won the role and flew out to Los Angeles in July of 2000 to begin filming.
During the first year of filming, she was forced to balance work with her schooling. Part of the deal with her parents to be able to go into acting was that she had to gain her high school diploma. There would be no dropouts in the Harper family, they'd said. So many hours a day were devoted to her schoolwork, and, by the season wrap in 2001, she could officially call herself a high school graduate. Part of her was sad that she wasn't able to graduate with the friends she knew and loved, but she was excited to be doing what she loved.
After Buffy's end in 2003, Chloe took the rest of the year off to gather her thoughts. It wasn't until 2004 that she resurfaced, and the rest is history.
She has quite a few films lined up, and a highly publicized relationship with long-time friend Jerry Klemmer. The two have been dating for over two years, and everyone is starting to wonder when and if the couple will take the plunge and get married. Chloe knows that it will happen when it happens, so she isn't too worried what everyone else thinks.
Chloe loves what she does and is happy to still be able to balance her work, friends and family with such ease. The fact that she is almost always working with friends lessens her struggle just a bit. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her younger sister and their terrier, Jack, but she is often seen exiting her boyfriend's place on the other side of the city or staying with her parents in San Diego.

OOC INFO
I'm in EST, and, as of right now, I prefer doing the most important interaction in journal-based threads. If the demand is there, however, I will sign onto AIM for conversations and chats. Chloe loves to interact with others, so please don't be shy when it comes to talking to her! When it comes to the scenes themselves, third person storybook format is my best friend.

QUICK FACTS
• Chloe is very outgoing. She loves to be around people and make new acquaintances. She is what one might call a social butterfly. However, she has those days where lounging around the house in sweats watching movies seems better than getting out there and doing something.
• She is also very family-oriented. Never in her life, aside from college, has she lived more than a few hours away from her parents. She feels as if it is her responsibility to care for them. Her other siblings aren't too far away either. Everyone is almost always there for the weekly Friday night dinner.
• Animals are her passion. She is big into animal rights, supports the ASPCA (and sometimes PETA, when they "aren't being idiots," she says). Her terrier, Jack, is actually a rescue dog that she adopted from a local animal shelter. In her opinion, pets are people too.
• Chloe is a very protective sort of person. She will do almost anything for her friends, her family and her animals and doesn't take well to anyone doing them wrong somehow. Typically not a fighter, she would send her fists flying if someone said the wrong thing, regardless of the consequences.
• Her favorite genres are science fiction and comedy, and she absolutely despises current horror films (too much gore, not enough horror). Her perfect day would be an X Files marathon with her boyfriend (and maybe her friends, too). Although she is geeky in the sense of what she watches, you will never find Chloe Harper playing a video game; she believes they are a waste of time (despite the fact her boyfriend plays them religiously).
• She is what most would call not computer friendly. She can use them just fine, which can be said of any college graduate, but they frustrate her to no end. Since graduating from college, she has been through two desktops and a notebook.
• Also known to be a shopaholic. It's only a problem sometimes.
